Recycling
Recycling is collected weekly at the curb the same day your household garbage is picked up. Each resident is provided with one 65 gallon "Blue" recycling cart or one smaller 18 gallon bin, upon request. After collection, the recycling bin must be removed from the street or curb by 5 p.m. on the day following pickup. Please click the request form below.
For "Acceptable" and "Not Acceptable" (except glass) recycled material, please click on the flyer below.
- The City of Monroe now provides curbside glass collection in our recycling program. Residents who would like to participate can contact our office at (770) 267-6933 to order an 18 gallon bin for collection. Please click on the flyer below for program guidelines.
Please remember to empty and rinse all containers before setting out.
White goods such as old appliances (refrigerators, stoves, freezers), scrap metals and empty paint cans will be picked up by the Solid Waste department once per week, or you may drop it off at our Transfer Station at 213 Cherry Hill Road to have them placed inside a scrap metal recycling container.
