Georgia Writers' Project (GWP) is happy to announce its Winter Reading Series. The Series will be held at the Monroe-Walton Center for the Arts, and will host University of Georgia poet and professor Melisa Cahnmann-Taylor and Georgia Poet Laureate Chelsea Rathburn. The event will be from 5:30 to 6:30 pm.
Thursday evening on November 14th, the George Walton Academy Marching Bulldog Band will present "La Danza De Los Toros" at 5:00 pm. To recognize and thank the Walton County community for its support for the past 50 years, the GWA marching band will perform its halftime show in downtown on the Historic Courthouse lawn.
