The Crepe Myrtle Festival is Back and Better Than Ever!
We’re excited to bring one of Monroe’s most beloved events back to downtown on June 14th! For years, the Crepe Myrtle Festival has been a highlight in our community, and we’re thrilled to revive it in the heart of downtown Monroe.

The City of Monroe will be accepting Statements of Qualification to contract the services of an Airport Consulting and Engineering Company for assistance in upcoming projects and plans at the Monroe-Walton County Airport. All submittals should follow instructions as detailed in the RFQ specifications and be complete in scope as requested by the City of Monroe. These Statements of Qualification are to be submitted no later than June 13, 2019 at 2:00 pm (EST).

The City of Monroe will be participating in the "Great American Cleanup" for the month of April. A Citywide clean-up day is planned for Saturday, April, 23rd. Volunteers will meet at City Hall at 9:00 am to disburse all over the city for trash pick-up. Please join us!
During the week of April 18-22, any resident living within the city limits of Monroe (excluding businesses) may bring trash, garbage, scrap metal, and/or tires (limit 10) to the City of Monroe Transfer Station at 213 Cherry Hill Road...FREE of charge!!!
