Look Up!

The Walton Teen Advocacy Board invites you to join them as they "Look up!" from phones to make eye contact and be positive for each other. This will be a screen-free event on the Walton County Historic Courthouse lawn on Saturday, August 14th, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. There will be music, food, health resources, free giveaways, and lots of fun! Pilot Park Playground Equipment Systems

PLEASE NOTE THE DUE DATE HAS BEEN CHANGED TO APRIL 23, 2020 AT 2:00 PM (EST) DUE TO THE COVID-19 SITUATION!!!

The City of Monroe is currently seeking to completely rehabilitate and replace all playground equipment at Pilot Park, located at 515 East Church Street. The park is situated in the historic district on approximately 1.81 acres and a little over .25 miles east of downtown Monroe.

HWY 11 SOUTH GAS MAIN REPLACEMENT

The City of Monroe will be accepting Bids to contract services for the installation and relocation of a natural gas main line on Highway 11 South and surrounding areas. All submittals should follow instructions as detailed in the Invitation to Bid and be complete in scope as requested by the City of Monroe. Bids are to be submitted no later than March 18, 2020 at 2:00 pm (EST).

 

Planning & Development Retreat

The City of Monroe Mayor and Council will hold a Planning & Development Retreat on Wednesday, February 19, 2020, at 3:00 p.m. at the City of Monroe City Hall, Council Chambers, 215 North Broad Street, Monroe, GA.

Fox Theatre Exhibit

The Fabulous Fox Theatre is making its debut in Monroe!  Visit the Monroe Walton County Library between January 16th and February 6th to view the interactive display of the history of the Fox Theatre.  The exhibit focuses on how the important events in the Fox Theatre's timeline intersect with American history, the Civil Rights Movement, economics and the importance of communities.  We are honored to host this exhibit which is a partnership between the Fox Theatre Institute and
