Buildings & Grounds

The Buildings and Grounds division is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of City owned properties and facilities. This includes Childers Park, Pilot Park, Art Guild, old City Hall, Uncle Remus Library, Community Building, On Stage Playhouse, City Hall, Airport, Utility and Public Works facilities, and various other City owned facilities and locations around Monroe. This process is achieved by the combined services of internal and contract labor.

Open Records

Pursuant to the provisions of the Georgia Open Records Act, the Monroe City Council has designated the City Administrator as the Open Records Officer of the City of Monroe.  The City Clerk is designated as the Alternate Open Records Officer.

All requests for information under the Act are to be made in writing to the attention of the Open Records Officer, or in their absence, the Alternate Open Records Officer.
