Lead Service Line Inventory Field Investigation - City of Monroe 2024

The City of Monroe is developing a service line inventory as mandated by the Lead and Copper Rule. The City is requesting the service of a qualified contractor to investigate and record service line materials using vacuum excavation. Bidder agrees to furnish all materials and equipment and to perform all labor necessary to pothole and identify the existing service line material on ±3,000 metered services.

Notice of Property Tax Increase

The City of Monroe has tentatively adopted a millage rate which will require an increase in property taxes by 7.28 percent. All concerned citizens are invited to the public hearing on this tax increase to be held at City Hall 215 North Broad St. Monroe,Georgia on Thursday, July 25, 2024 5:00 pm.

This tentative increase will result in a millage rate of 6.661 mills, an increase of .452mills. Without this tentative tax increase, the millage rate will be no more than 6.209mills.
