Downtown Hotel Development Project - Request for Qualifications

The City of Monroe is pleased to offer this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to identify a qualified developer to design, build, and operate a boutique hotel in our downtown district, featuring a nationally recognized hotel brand. Monument Park

Situated on .35 acres in downtown Monroe, Monument Park (formerly Hammock Park) has taken a historical step back into what was once the MONROE sign on the Wayne Street water tank. This sign stood for many years and was famously taken down after being damaged by down-burst storms that came through Monroe in 1993. Since then, many discussions have taken place to replace the sign with no successful or allowable options on the existing water tanks or structures in the community. Monument Park is now home to a replica of that MONROE sign that stood for so many years.
