Criminal Investigation Division

The Criminal Investigation Division of the Monroe Police Department is responsible for followup investigation of calls and incidents which fall outside the scope of the Uniform Patrol Division.

Offenses are separated as crimes against persons and crimes against property, then resources are allocated by severity of the criminal act (felony or misdemeanor), and futher catagorized by presence or absence of witnesses or physical evidence used to complete an investigation of the incident.
