Monroe Police Department National Night Out

Come out and network with your Monroe Police Officers on Tuesday August 6, 2019 in Pilot Park (515 Church Street) for National Night Out. This program is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.

FREE Hotdogs and drinks will be provided by Walton EMC. Also, there will be lots of games to play along with awesome music entertainment.

Community Blood Drive

Join us for our Pizza with a Purpose blood drive on August 16th from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Community Center.  As a thank you, Your Pie Monroe will give all donors a coupon for a free pizza! 4th of July Fireworks

Join us for a July 4th Fireworks spectacular at the Athens Tech Monroe Stadium.  There will be no official program or vendors but the football stadium and field will be open for viewing.  The fireworks show will begin at dark (approximately 9:00 pm).  Parking is available at the Monroe Police Department (140 Blaine Street), along Edwards Street around the field, and the Athens Tech campus parking.

Rest Haven Cemetery Tour

The Historical Society of Walton County cordially invites you to attend a Historic Rest Haven Cemetery Tour on Sunday, October 24th at 3:00 pm.  This tour will be conducted by Mr. Al Stephens, Trustee of the Society.  Al is experienced as a docent at the Historic Oakland Cemetery in Atlanta, Georgia and you will enjoy the walk with Al in History with some of our Walton County Founders.  Please wear comfortable shoes and clothes.  Water will be provided.

Step 2: Verify if exterior improvements/signage requires a Certificate of Appropriateness (for properties in Corridor Overlay or Historic Districts)

Move in Ready

Use is permitted, enough parking available, no building improvements needed.

Movies at the Mill

Get ready for one of the biggest & best events of the Summer! Movies at the 2022 is coming your way on Friday, July 29th @ 6:30pm.

Grab your family, friends, or just come yourself! The evening will feature food trucks, a Family Fun Zone full of bouncies for the kids, beer & wine sales for the adults, and a FREE movie~ Encanto!  

There's no cost to attend, you just purchase the food & drinks you want from some of the best food trucks in Georgia. It will be a night to remember!  Food Trucks will also be available at lunch from 11:00-2:00.

 

Food Truck Friday

Food Trucks and fun are back April 22nd at the Monroe Cotton Mills!  Enjoy lunch from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm then return for dinner beginning at 6:30 pm.  Night time fun includes live music, beer and wine sales for the adults,  and activities for the kids.  Live Music begins at 6:30 with Revenge of the 80's followed by Elton Live- Tribute to Elton John from 8:15-10:15.
