The City of Monroe is accepting applications for the posting of Recruit Firefighter.
NO PRIOR EXPERIENCE OR CERTIFICATION IS REQUIRED.
All newly hired Firefighter
Recruits will attend a 6 month recruit training program as set forth by the Georgia
Firefighters Standards and Training Council.
Welcome to the Planning and Development department of the City of Monroe. It is our desire to provide and assist you with the necessary information for your proposed development. Our Mission is to assist the City Council in planning orderly growth and development; insuring that the Future Land Use plan, development guidelines and regulations are followed in the establishment of subdivisions, commercial developments and zoning areas. Our staff provides daily services available to the public such as Code Enforcement and Economic Development.

This page will undergo constant changes as projects update and move through stages of progression towards completion. The Marketing division provides different avenues and materials to communicate the activities and correspondence of the City of Monroe with the community and citizens. The current role is embedded within different departments that include Economic Development, Human Resources, and Central Services. The Marketing division includes the issuance of newsletters, social media updates, website updates, and participates in other citywide events.

The City of Monroe Public Works Department has recycled old fire hydrants that are no longer being used into art for the park. Artist volunteers from the community have helped us paint the hydrants. They are placed in the wooded area around the dog park.
